Leading the coordination and delivery of quality education services across Madang Province
The Madang Provincial Government (MPG) and the Provincial Administration through the Division of Education (DoE) is committed to quality in education through strategic teaching, learning, leadership, efficient management, and productive partnerships for effective service delivery — supporting inclusive learning from early childhood through Grade 12, as well as tertiary/adult learning, skills development, and vocational training as equally important pathways.

The Madang Provincial Education Division is responsible for managing and implementing education services from the elementary level up to Grade 12. This includes school management, teacher administration, local planning, and infrastructure and operations. The division's work is guided by a strong commitment to core values, including Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Wisdom, and Responsibility.
Alphonse Igag Appointed in June 2024. Former principal of Tusbab SS, holds a BA degree from UPNG. Began teaching in 1989 at Brahman High School.
The division has a total of 17 staff members and is organized into 6 sectors: Pre-School, Primary, High School, Secondary, FODE, and TVET. Key staff roles include the PEA, Executive Secretary, Data Officer, GFEP Coordinator, Inservice Coordinator, Salaries Officer, Pre-School Officer, Planner, and Appointment Officer.

Day-to-day management and coordination of educational services.
Providing guidance and support for school registration processes.
Major projects currently running include LEAP and ECE Model Schools. The division also conducts ongoing in-service training and induction programs for staff.
