About the Forest Sector

Sector Overview

The Forest Sector, operating under the Economic Sector of the Madang Provincial Administration, advises the Provincial Government on all forestry matters in the Province, including reforestation, logging operations, climate change, and REDD+. Led by Frank Sopoa, Acting Assistant Director, the sector manages a small team of 3 staff members (including an Admin Assistant and Driver). The sector's vision and mission are aligned with the MPA Corporate Plan and MTDP IV.
